Primarily used by grinding teams to measure the amount of material removed from the rail head profile when eliminating cracks due to rolling contact fatigue.
Enquire about this product
The rolling contact fatigue grinding gauge set is used to measure accurately the rail vertically and the gauge corner at 45º. Operators can evaluate quickly the amount of material that is removed during the grinding process, either from the head of the rail or from the gauge corner and therefore help to eliminate the risk of removing too much material.
The three gauges are produced from stainless steel to prevent corrosion with clear machine engraved graduations. Each gauge utilises the same datum point on the rail section, enabling results to be easily re-checked/verified. Supplied with a certificate of conformity.
